Stumbled upon this gem of a blog today while researching the original Jeep Truck. If anyone happens to know whether the Jeep Truck used the same IFS system by Barney Roos (“Planadyne”) that the Willys Wagon used, feel free to let me know.

The “-dyne” suffix is such a cool jet-age-ism.

I really struggle with wheel aesthetics. I know it seems like everyone here has fairly strong opinions on them, but I never notice them, and I haven’t been able to develop any sort of opinion on what good and bad ones look like.

I think the general consensus is not to put modern style wheels on vintage cars. Wheels designed in a certain era were designed with the bodystyles of that era in mind. Same thing comes to mind when people put modern lighting modules on vintage cars.
